Pet Travel on Board Ship

When dogs travel on these ships they are allocated their own kennel in the kennel area. Owners are able to access their dogs at any time during the journey (24hr day or night). Two sizes of kennel are available on the ferry and they are booked well in advance, especially the large ones. Early booking is recommended to guarantee availability. Dog owners can sit with their dog in the kennel area or take them out on deck for a walk. You may even see a whale or some dolphins during your time out there.

No dogs have to be left in a vehicle during the journey.

Cats are left in our vehicle in the cages whilst at sea for obvious reasons but access is allowed for owners and our staff to be able to feed and check on them 4 or 5 times during the journey. The car deck is fully light and warm throughout the whole journey.

Cats are always carried in large dog cages so there is plenty of room for their beds, a litter tray and food and water. They will be completely safe but maybe a littel bored during the sea crossing

Sometimes our clients will wish to accompany their pets on their journey or follow our vehicle in their own car. The company would have no objection to that but we would suggest you accompany us on one of the Plymouth/Portsmouth to Santander/Bilbao ferry routes. These routes run throughout the year now. This ferry journey saves at least 500 road miles compared to driving through France and it is a very relaxing way to see the hours away.

Have a nice easy day after boarding the ship, followed by a good meal in the self service café or a meal to remember in the ships high class restaurant. Then try a few drinks and dance the night away to the resident band in the main bar or spend a relaxing evening in the piano bar before retiring to bed in one the many top class cabins. Wake up bright and early in time to eat a nice breakfast just before your arrival in Spain.

On-board accommodation

As with everything else on board, cabin accommodation is also of the very highest level. All cabins are air-conditioned and have full en-suite facilities, but there’s much more than this.

Four classes of cabin are available:

1. Standard
2. Club Class
3. De Luxe
4. Commodore

All apart from standard cabins are provided with a flat screen TV and comfortable seating. The luxurious commodore cabins feature wide patio doors that offer panoramic views and lead directly onto your own private balcony.
